Goodbye!

So most of you know I make hand-stamped jewelry and this holiday season I was absolutely and positively bombarded with orders. And now I'm on vacation and slowly getting new designs, charms and extras put together before reopening again in January (I WAS going to open back up right after Christmas but let's be real - I want to enjoy my kiddos and the festivities!).

2011 is coming to a close. Seems everyone is blogging about it and I've been wanting to come back here to post something so this seemed an opportune time. I got on VistaPrint last night to create a photo calendar (only $7.99!) and to order business cards. I took my 2011 calendar off the wall and started going through it to find birthdays to input into the new calendar. As I flipped through each month I giggled and remembered all the fun things we've done this year! I especially giggled at this date in April that said, "Baby is a GIRL" because, as we all know, Judah is definitely not a girl.

Our family of six - Christmas 2011

Probably the most obvious highlight was being pregnant and having a new baby. We found out we were pregnant January 11, were told we were having a girl at about 19 weeks but then found out at 29 weeks HE was just playing hide-n-seek. Judah Isaac was born September 25.

Judah is 3-months-old now! He wears 6-9-month clothes!

Elaina turned 6 this year and started first grade. She is very creative and loves crafts, writing stories and riding her scooter! One of the stories she wrote is currently at UMKC being studied by undergrads in elementary education. She's the only one in her class whose story is at UMKC; super proud Mommy moment here! Right now Elaina aspires to be a tattoo and makeup artist.

Elaina Boo, growing so fast! She put purple streaks in her bangs; love it!

Abigail turned 4 in March and started Preschool this year. It's a church preschool so she gets to sing songs about Jesus and learn about the Bible as well as practice writing her name, learning the alphabet, etc. She is super smart. I think she's going to be my little genius. She aspires to be a nurse and missionary; bless her tender, young heart! The other day she did some simple math equations with me, things she hasn't learned yet but just picked up on her own.

A nativity angel waiting to go on stage.

Zoë just turned 2 in October and is my little, petite firecracker. My mom is in Heaven, smiling (and cackling; just how she laughed!) and probably thinking I just got a dose of my own medicine. In other words my little pistol Zoë is as rambunctious and ornery as I was as a small child. She says the funniest things in her deep, raspy voice. The other night as I put her to bed I said, "You're silly, Zoë!" and she shot right back, "NO! You silly, Momma!" I don't know yet what she wants to grow up to be but I could see her as a singer, pianist/musician, teaching or playing sports or anything she puts her mind to! She doesn't like being told she "can't" and she follows me around the house as my little helper.

All prettied up with nowhere to go!

Wishing you a wonderful, prosperous and safe New Year!!!

GOODBYE 2011!!! Can't wait for 2012!
